When I was 14 a friend of my parents gave me the use of his camera and darkroom equipment and taught me the basics. I was inspired by peers of my older siblings who were photographers and later by the work of Ansel Adams and Jerry Uelsmann. Most of the photographs shown here were taken in the 1970's.
      One is more recent. "Flasher", done in 2001, is a sequence of 4 images that were manipulated in Photoshop. I'm intrigued by the 4 panel format that tells a story and digital image technology that makes simple things that were a struggle in the darkroom. These are threads I'd like to pick up given time .....
